LOCAL BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT

‘Coffee, community, and character’ are the core tenets of the Exceptional Bean—a Cookeville coffee shop opened in 2022 that currently employs more than 30 individuals with disabilities to give them a place of work, purpose, and community. Started by local entrepreneurs Michael and Cigi England, this non-profit is located in the former One Hour Martinizing building. It has been beautifully remodeled into a functional coffeehouse with a large open dining area and lots of natural light.
